Replace Color in Photoshop

Step 1 : I have opened this image in Photoshop. I wish to change the color of the dress of the girl without affecting the rest of colors in the image.

Step 2 : Go to Image>Adjustments>Replace Color.

Step 3 : This dialogue box opens.

Step 4 : Click the Eyedropper Tool at the top left and then click on any part of the image where you want to change the color. Here I have clicked on the girl's dress.

Step 5 : Notice the color box at the top has changed to the color of the dress from black. Now drag the fuzziness slider till the whole of the girl's dress has been highlighted.

Step 6 : Now I have dragged the Hue slider to the right to change the color of the dress to green.

I have also adjusted the Saturation and Hue sliders. Note that the Result box at the bottom has turned to green. Click OK.

The finished image. Note that the other colors in the image have not been affected. Try it out.

Awesome Tutorial, if I have some extra color , like a black dress, and black hair , how do I mask the hair so it is not impacted.
